Dr. Ali Wilson, founder of
TeachAbility LLC, a Philadelphia-based consulting org, is a seasoned educational teacher, professor, and consultant, with over 20 years of experience in secondary literacy and special education. Ali partners with states, districts, and schools to help develop and build sustainable systems that support adolescent readers. Actively engaged in academia, Ali reviews articles for the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, has published in the Journal of Teacher Education and mostly recently, supported as a reviewer for the Standards and Instructional Practices for Adolescent Foundational Literacy Skills guidance. She is committed to bridging theory with practice and is passionate about supporting aligned and rigorous high-quality instruction, targeted supports (including high-leverage literacy levers), and interventions across K-12. In addition to her statewide projects, Ali partners with district and school leaders to establish and refine systems for effective planning and implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM).
