About me
Kristen Wynn is the Head of the AIM Institute for Learning and Research and a former Mississippi State Literacy Director (K–12). With more than 19 years in education, she is deeply committed to equitable, evidence-based literacy instruction and educator capacity building. Since July 2024, she has led AIM’s research partnerships and professional learning initiatives to advance literacy outcomes. Previously, she served as a classroom teacher, interventionist, district leader, literacy coach, and state leader at the Mississippi Department of Education, where she helped drive historic literacy gains. Under her leadership, Mississippi was recognized among the nation’s top-performing states in 4th grade reading on the 2022 and 2024 NAEP.
