MTSS and Adolescent Literacy: Planning for Literacy Interventions to Accelerate Growth
This session aims to equip educators with the knowledge and tools to plan for effective literacy interventions for older, struggling readers. It is never too late to teach children to read and comprehend complex texts. Research suggests a range of learning needs among older readers, so educators need to use assessment data to identify these needs and group students appropriately. This session will simplify MTSS for literacy at the adolescent level, providing straightforward guidance on planning interventions and a reminder of the importance of tier 1 instruction.
