During this 60-minute session, participants will learn about the why, the what, and the how of strong fluency instruction in the secondary grades. Participants will experience the power of fluency firsthand through an activity entitled, “Did I Just Get Smarter?” Then, they will engage in an experiential fluency routine and explore case studies of successful fluency implementation. At the end of the session, participants will walk away with a free research-based implementation tool, called the Tight10, that can be immediately applied to upper elementary, middle, or high school classrooms across disciplines.
